A training focused on cyber security and international telecom regulators was provided.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia December 4, 2023. A training focused on cyber security, new technologies, and international telecom regulators is provided for the Ethiopian Communication Authority from November 23 to 29, 2023.

The training content includes 5G, smart home services, cyber security awareness in 5G, and IOT. It helps to understand the vital role they play in helping to combat cyberattacks.

In his opening speech, Ato Million Hailemichael, the deputy Director General of the Ethiopian Communications Authority, stated that among the activities under way in collaboration with Huawei, one is capacity-building training. He also appreciates Huawei for providing such timely training.

The deputy Director-General added that “this training has great importance to our institution because it helps our professionals develop skills suitable for the responsibilities they carry out.”

Mr. Frank Li, Huawei Northern Africa Region, Regional Cyber Security and Privacy Officer, on the other hand, says, “In the fast-paced realm of digital connectivity, staying ahead requires not just adaptation but anticipation. More than 20 participants from the IT, license and inspection, and quality device control departments attended the training given by Huawei professionals.

In the training, it was mentioned that it’s crucial to recognize the paramount importance of cybersecurity. In an interconnected world, safeguarding our networks and data is not just a necessity but a shared responsibility.
