NBE lifts loan ban

The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) announced that it has lifted its loan ban in place for the past four months. The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) has ordered banks to provide loans to all their customers, The Reporter reported. The ban was imposed to prevent “economic fraud” and was implemented following the widening gap in parallel and legal foreign exchange trading.
