Addis Ababa – March 4, 2025 (ABN)
The Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, Getachew Mengeste, held talks in Ethiopia with the Argentine Ambassador, Ignacio Roccatagliata. During their discussions, they agreed to expedite the process for the full signing of the Air Service Agreement, which had been concluded a month earlier in Buenos Aires at a preliminary signing stage.
Additionally, Getachew Mengeste advised FAdeA, an Argentine company engaged in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering, on the possibility of opening a branch in Addis Ababa. This collaboration would facilitate technology transfer and cooperation with the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority. Ethiopia and Argentina also focused on working together on key issues to be presented at the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Executive Council meeting. It was agreed that a forum would be established to implement the matters discussed.
