AGROFOOD AND PLASTPRINTPACK ETHIOPIA IS BACK

The 4th Agrofood and plastprintpack Ethiopia trade fare is back and will be held from 14 to 16 October 2021. The event, which is highly sought after by the key players of the agro-processing and packaging value chain, will be back as a result of the growing interest and a vibrant market development. Speaking at the press conference, Dr. Kalle Holzfuss of the German embassy Cultural and Economic Section highlighted the growing packaging and packaging related materials imported into the country over the years and the need to organize the trade faire after it was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Leaders of the Agrofood and packaging industry will showcase their technological innovations and solutions towards more than 2,000 visitors that are in the same field of expertise and specialization such as agriculture, food processing, ingredients, plastics, printing and packaging. The highly anticipated exhibition show is organized by the German trade show specialist Fairtrade Messe in collaboration with Ethiopian counterparts Prana Events taking place in flamboyant Ethiopian Skylight Hotel.

In their joint press release held today, founder and managing director of Fair trade Mess Martin März expressed his joy over the fact that the event has been organized with much commitment and zeal over the past few months. “We are all the more proud that our exhibitor community represents a wide spectrum of the entire value chain,” said Mr. Martin. The platform has so far created a conducive peer-to-peer experience sharing environment with exhibitors hailing from 11 countries namely; Ethiopia, France, Germany, India, Italy, Kuwait, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and USA.

The three day exhibition comes with four main pavilions for exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Russia and Turkey and their partner companies from other countries. The German pavilion, presented by the federal ministry of Food and Agriculture, will showcase the products and solutions of major companies Caisley International, Destilla, GGI-Spermex, Krones and Te So Ten Elsen Specht.  The Italian exhibitors include Ave Technologies, Della Toffolla, Priamo Food Technologies, Sacmi and Z-Italia.

Russian and Turkish Pavilions are supported by the Russian Export showcase and the Turkish ministry of trade. The Russian pavilion features adapted solutions and technologies for the Ethiopian Agrofood industry. Turkish pavilion features companies such as Aves, Endülüs Krom, Intermak, Kombi Makina, Kozlu Gida, Kuatro, Milkman Makine, Özmermer Gida, Nadir Yag, Orkide (Küçübay) and Seyhan.
